This pancake recipe tastes gourmet but it’s so simple, which is the exact kind of recipe I look for when it comes to making breakfast.

I love to wake up and enjoy my coffee and if it’s anywhere near the holiday season I’m likely watching Hallmark Christmas movies too!

So when it comes to picking out a recipe to make I want something that tastes great but doesn’t take too long to put together, and these apple pancakes are the perfect match!

How to Make Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

Get ready to steal the heart of anybody sitting at your breakfast table!

Ingredients:

Directions:

First, peel your apples and slice them very thin. Then chop the slices again into little 1/4 inch pieces or use a chopper like this one and chop them using the smallest attachment.

Next, add the chopped apples, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a saucepan and cook until they are tender, stirring frequently.

Chopped Apples With Brown Sugar and Butter

Make your pancake batter and add in 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla. I made one and a half batches of pancake batter which was 3 cups of mix.

Preheat a frying pan or griddle over medium heat, then spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Pour a large scoop of apples (about a 1/4 cup or a little less), onto the hot griddle and spread out, then pour the batter by 1/3 cupfuls on top of the apples.

Cook the bottom side of the pancake and then flip the pancake gently and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Continue process until the batter is gone.

Then top your pancakes with butter and maple syrup and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

Pour your batter slowly to form a more round-shaped pancake. If you pour too fast the batter will spread out in different directions as it goes over the apples.

If you’re having a hard time flipping the pancakes you can pour your batter on the skillet first and then sprinkle the apples on top.
