I usually make this dip a few times a year around the holidays anytime I need to bring an appetizer. Although it’s delicious all year long!
I just always think of apple recipes during fall and this one always comes to mind!
So let’s get to the recipe because you’ll be amazed by how quick and easy it is!
How to Make Caramel Apple Dip With Toffee Bits
You’ll likely find that you end up making this recipe often once you realize how easy and delicious it is!
The bottom layer is a slightly sweetened cream cheese mixture. The middle layer is a thick and delicious caramel sauce. Then it is finished off with English toffee bits.
Ingredients:
2 (8 oz.) bricks of cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 (16.6 oz.) jar of Mrs. Richardson’s caramel (regular or butterscotch)
1 (8 oz.) bag of Heath toffee bits
7-10 Granny Smith apples for dipping
Directions:
Add the cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla to a mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Then spread the cream cheese mixture onto a serving dish and top with the caramel sauce.
Lastly, sprinkle with toffee bits.
After the toffee apple dip is done set it aside at room temperature if you’re ready to serve or store it in the fridge.
Then just before serving slice up your apples to dip with.
I only like to slice a couple of apples at a time so they don’t turn brown, but depending on your crowd you may need them all!
Recipe Notes
This dip can easily be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, but just be sure to set it out in plenty of time to get to room temperature before serving.
It’s best at room temperature because then the cream cheese mixture is soft and easy to dip the apples into!
You can also choose to use a different brand of caramel sauce, just be sure that it is a thick caramel sauce, not the runny kind that you pour over ice cream.
My favorite is Mrs. Richardson’s brand and when I can find it, I like to use the butterscotch caramel, it’s just not always available. The recipe is delicious with either type of caramel though!
But most importantly, enjoy this delicious caramel apple dip!
It’s the perfect dish for holiday gatherings, fall parties, or any time of year when you’re craving the delicious combination of caramel and apples!
